Take a trip inside the mesmerizing movement of cells with the Movement Under the Microscope science theater production. This performance brings together students from the Department of Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology with students from the School of Music Theater and Dance to celebrate the “building blocks of life” through performance art. Choreographed and performed by U-M undergraduates, Movement Under the Microscope makes microscopic movements like cell division and nutrient transport life-sized!
This performance is a collaboration between professor Morgan DeSantis’ MCDB 401 students and professor Tzveta Kassabova’s THTREMUS 271students, and the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History. On November 20, 2022, fifty undergraduates performed Movement under the Microscope for 250 museum visitors.
